A round on an epigram from Benjamin De Casseres.

Sometime in the early ’80s, sex work activist Scarlot Harlot asked me to portray a phone sex addict for a slide show she was doing. Naturally, I agreed; I had, after all, a number of prop and toy phones that I used in my shows. She used the images in this birthday card.

Some contrapuntal piano music, from 1993.

According to the dictionary, a “stint” is a “a period of time spent in a particular activity.”  That certainly fits this piece for viola and piano, built up of repeated riffs.

Following the Thanksgiving show, KPFA invited me back for Valentine’s Day in 1978.  I sang some songs, played piano, and played 78s.

Somehow, back in San Francisco in 1977, I did a “Thanksgiving Radio Special” on KPFA.  I read some pseudo-Americana, sang some songs, and brought my colleague Bill Irwin to demonstrate hat tricks and to chat with me.  I had recorded 78s from my collection on a portable tape recorder; and kept that fading in and out throughout.

At the last Ullage Group event, I handed out party favors.  Since we were showing films by John Keel, that noted ufologist, I made some flying saucer wooden nickels, using rubber stamps he had once owned.

From 1992 to 1994, I mailed out a monthly calendar to promote my performances.  I seem to have been very busy.  Here are a few of them.
