Steve Paul and Gregory Dawson put together a cabaret revue at the Rainbow and Stars in 1991.  Somehow, I ended up hosting it — with my inimitable dummy, Eddie Gray, who received separate billing.

    Hi Doug–
I worked for Joe Baum who created Rainbow & Stars and this was one of the shows that launched that jewel box of a cabaret.
What are you up to now?

Hi David! I’m writing music, as always. I often perform my songs with violist David Gold; I’m working on another string quartet; I teach uke and theory at the Jalopy school in Brooklyn. This month I’m coaching my old colleague Bill Irwin on the pocket uke, for the upcoming production of “King Lear” at the Public Theater; and looking forward to a show of videos I made with Michael Smith, at Anthology Film Archives on November 14. Cheers!
